After the recent brouhaha wanted to say some of us want everyone to just get along…
We got a ribbon at swim school for being able to rotate from belly to back. Now we go to deep pool!
I am a lousy photographer. This is why my wife takes all the pictures in our household. I mean, seriously, I can’t even take a picture of cheese! Apologies on the blur.
Here are the cheeses.
The first picture is a Taleggio from Italy. At the far edge of casual cheese eating… And at the far edge of serious cheese eating.
The next picture is the two casual cheeses of the month. The blurry green and white one is Hoja Santa – a Texan goat cheese. This may be the only thing that I like that has come out of Texas in a long while. The other cheese is Cheddar. But not just any cheddar this is an Artisanal Grand Cru Vermont Cheddar. This cheese borders on serious cheese eater cheese because of the complexity of the flavours… I kind of view Cheddar as merlot when it comes to serious cheese.
And finally the serious cheese eaters cheese, the sock cheese of the month, is the the blue cheese wrapped in tin foil Fourme D’Ambert. This is a cow’s milk cheese from Auvergne.
Organic locally sourced steak, eggs and salad from my backyard and artisanal cheese
Full smug cloud
When I was in college, I discovered the Dunkin Donut Ham, Egg and Cheese Croissant Sandwich. As a student with a marginal budget, this was something tasty and awesome.
My wife took one look at this artificial monstrosity of fat and grease and synthetic product and said: YUCH.
But this thing was a promise to me. As I chewed and swallowed every bite, my heart told me, as it got clogged, that someday my life would be better and that this thing would also get better.
Well it did.
Here we have the Dunkin Donut Egg and Cheese and Bacon sandwich re-imagined.
Notice the Alexander’s Patisserie Croissant, the artisanal cheddar, the locally sourced organically produced nitrate free bacon and free range eggs.
Look at the color of that egg yolk, no sickly pale yellow typically found in commercial eggs…
Love my wife for this shirt!
I recently joined VMware and a lot of folks I knew from years ago are there wondering how I’ve been.
How do you capture the last five years? And so here’s a short version:
The TL;DR for folks who lost touch in 2009

(9) Did a half-ironman
(10) Did lots of really cool and amazing stuff at Zynga including building the last soup-to-nuts hyper scale infrastructure
(11) Watched a lot of hockey at the Shark Tank, no Pavillion no SAP Center although after the loss to LA last year is starting to feel more like the The sap Center
(12) Became Chief Engineer of Zynga
